My little cousins are six and seven, they’re into the films now and have suddenly realised I am in them! They used to think I was magic and tell me to make them fly or turn them into a spoon.

From the DH 2 press conference: the actors’ favorite lines

Might be spoilery

nick moran: hello beautiful

warwick davis: winggardium leviosa!

natalia tena: don’t call me nymphadora

david thewlis: i don’t remember anything i’ve said. one word: riddickulus. and boggart.

evanna lynch: all luna’s lines are winners. “you’re just as sane as i am”

jason isaacs: my favorite line is one of daniel’s. he said to chris columbus, i’d really love an exit line. didn’t tell daniel. “let us hope mr potter will always be around to save the day.” dan: “don’t worry, i will be”… that was off the cuff.

helen mccrory: in DH part 2: moment she stands up and says “dead”

tom felton: “my father will hear about this!”

ralph fiennes: I can touch you now

emma: i’m going to bed before either of you come up with another idea or worse expelled. (she recited it as if she was in the film.)

rupert remembers that moment. “she needs to sort out her priorities” audience laughs. i say “bloody” a lot.

yates reminds him: how about “that’s my girlfriend you numb tease” (in part 2)

julie walters: not my daughter you bitch! (audience laughs, applauds.)

robbie coltrane: you’re harry potter.. your’e the one who got away from.. you know who.

michael gambon: i hardly knew my lines in the film anyway. the ones i did remember, you’ll see tomorrow.. when i appear as a ghost: “harry,” i felt like crying

matt lewis: how do i follow that? in movie 2, when he’s hanging from light: “why is it always me?

bonnie wright: “good luck” to harry in movie 1 on train platform.

james phelps: in first movie “honestly woman you call yourself our mother?”

second one: mischief managed

oliver phelps: deathly hallows part 1 when harry and ginny were just kissing, george creeps behind and says “… morning..”

domhnhall gleeson: “mad eye’s dead”

I know I’ll miss playing Ron because there was a time when I was him more than I wasn’t him. And I really liked the development of his character. He started out as a kid who was quite easily scared and it was nice to see him grow up to be brave and resourceful, particularly in this last movie where they are in such an unpredictable and dangerous place.

Book Ron is brave, though…and his character development is shit in the films

Book Ron > Movie Ron

redsorrow:

“If they had cast American actors or put cheerleaders at Hogwarts — and all these hideous ideas were indeed being pitched and discussed at the time – Harry Potter would have been one movie, not a series,” says Chris Columbus, director of the first two films in the most lucrative movie series in Hollywood history. “It would have just died.”
